Hi everybody,

I'm interested in applying to some of Japan's universities for an undergraduate course as an International applicant, starting 2015 or 2016. However, I'm a little lost and not sure how to proceed further now.

I'm 24, an EU citizen (Lithuania), and I dropped out of my university 2 years ago, so I'm not a student anymore, but I want to either continue studying or start a new undergraduate degree in Japan. I don't speak Japanese, but I'm working on it and hopefully will have all the basics down by the time I arrive at the university and/or for my test.

Do I stand a chance to get accepted based on the information I have provided above (for now, excluding all achievements and current level of education, etc.)? What are the requirements, and how should I best approach this?

I'm very open to going through 1 year of Japanese language course first before applying in case that's what is required, as I'm looking for any viable ways to study in Japan, regardless of the approach. If there's ANY other possible options, no matter long it will take to wait or things to do, please let me know. I would greatly appreciate that.

Thank you all in advance! :)
