hi there. I was just wondering about the reputation of Ritsumeikan Asia Pasific university. Comments anyone?

really sorry for bumping this up!

Hi. Ritsumeikan University has pretty good reputation in Japan, but I'm not sure about "Asia Pacific University." Is it in Kyoto? I think Ritsumeikan is one of the most famous private university in the West side of Japan.

hey thx! Actually it's in Beppu, Oita. It's a branch of Ritsumeikan chain, but it's an international university. As in the student population is somewhat 50-50 japanese and international students. I think it's good for students who wanna do international relations and the business management sector. I'll most likely attend come Fall 2005, but was just curious about the reputation outside japan. R u from Japan?

Yes, I'm from Japan :) I lived there for about 12 yrs. I'm currently living in the U.S. though.

Asia Pacific Univeristy is rather new, so I wouldn`t say it has the same reputation as say,the famous public universities(like Tokyo,Kyoto U) or some private universities(Waseda, etc)
However, the school has a high-employment rate after graduation (I think mostly everyone got jobs after graduating).

yeah...it seems 95% got jobs, and almost all at major companies...(100% employment rate for international students).

japstudent12, which part of japan yea from? And which univ will u be attending? US or Jap?

Would have gone to the states if not for crappy financial aid...but maybe it's a blessing in disguise...? Apu gives generous scholarships...
