Is the Japanese test difficult or easy? what shall I prepare before the test? And how much vocabulary is needed?

I would say that the hardest part of the test isn't the listening or grammar, but the KANJI. There's a whole bunch in there.
In terms of everything but the reading, it's really easy. Did you check the collegeboard website for sample questions?

I have checked the sampe questions but I heard some people say that the real test is quite different from the sample test....

Did any of you who've already taken the Japanese SAT subject test also take the Japanese AP test? How do they compare?

Well I took an official practice test from collegeboard, and I scored a 740 (which isn't great - I really need to study the Kanji.) In terms of the categories, it is split up into 3 - listening, reading comprehension, and grammar. I missed 1 on listening, 1 on grammar, and 5 on reading comprehension - totaling a -7 out of 80 questions.

The average score on that test is a 760!!

Does anybody know if there is a list of all the kanji that could appear on the test, or if it includes up to a certain grade level? Also, are there any books out that could help you prepare?
