Would you say the Japanese SATII is around the same difficulty of the practice question on the College Board website? Or is it harder?

How long have you been taking Japanese?

The Japanese SAT II is a joke, but it depends on what level you took Japanese at.

To put things in perspective, it has two forms of romaji, hiragana/kanji, but no more than the first 100 basic kanji on the test.
In addition, it doesn’t even go into “intermediate” subjects like -rareru -saseru etc.
Basically I’d say if you took 1-2 years of Japanese it would be adequate for this test.

I got a 790 on the test, as did my native Japanese speaker friend. We missed one question.
Wonder which one it was!

I’ve completed three years of Japanese, so I guess it’ll be okay?
