When do you all think finalist notifications will begin to roll in? Anyone receive one yet and know they are/aren’t going to Charlottesville?
My D had her second interview today and was told that they will be informed in a week.
@twogirls thank you for the insight. My D had her second yesterday but forgot to ask when she would hear.
I had mine yesterday! I was told I would hear within 3/4 days… coming up!
Just logged back into the Online Jefferson Scholar site. The pdf letter has been updated to inform us that my D was not selected to move on to the Finalist Interview Weekend. We’re in Georgia, good luck to any that did.
Wow… just found out I’ll be going to VA for the final round! So excited!

Unfortunately, I didn’t make it to the Finalist weekend. 
I’ll probably end up going to Emory.
But I found the Facebook group of this year’s Finalists. It’s “2015 Jefferson Scholars Finalists”

Congratulations to each fine student who interviewed for this opportunity. You should be extremely proud of your accomplishments. Our son was accepted EA at Virginia, and comes from a high school that is not eligible to nominate its students for regional interviews. I understand he could receive an at-large nomination. Does anyone on this site know when those decisions are made? The Jefferson Scholar website says,
“The Jefferson Scholars Foundation notifies all nominees of their status by 2/20 via the nomination portal.” And, as we can see above a good number of those who have interviewed have already been notified. Is it safe to assume the at-large candidates have already been chosen, or if we hear nothing by 2/20, we can make that assumption as well? It’s difficult to wait… Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide. 
I’m a finalist! I got an email from Ben Skipper saying I needed to apply to UVa through the common app too, though… anyone else get this? or did everyone else already apply to UVa through the common app?

You have to apply to UVA separate from the Jeff Scholar process, and being nominated to be a Jeff Scholar does not mean you are admitted to the U. As Dean J has explained other places, the two are unrelated and UVA admissions is separate from Jefferson Scholars Foundation process.
