I was wondering if penn would take my low gpa (3.7) with a grain of salt when they see my course load ( 11 APs before senior year). I also have a 800 on sat ii math ii and 750 sat ii chem. I am a national ap scholar and have even qualified for USAMO and the USAPHO semi exam. My sat score is (superscore) 2350. Also, I am president of three clubs. Do you guys think i have a good shot at the M&T program or wharton. Thanks for any feedback.

bumpbumpbump

President of which three clubs? Did you do something novel at your time in high school or are you simply the president of three clubs just to have leadership positions?

the math club, chem club and environment club
I raised money for prom

Saying you have a “low GPA” and then it’s a 3.7 is just obnoxious.

I was saying it was low because my friends were saying that with that gpa there is no way i will be accepted into the m&T program

How strong do you think your essays and recs were?

I felt my counselor rec and my math teacher’s rec were amazing and my english teacher’s rec was pretty good
I thought my essays were very personal and strong as well. I’m just worried that my gpa would hold me back. What do you guys thin? Do I have a good chance or is it unrealistic with a 3.7?

I don’t know much about the specific program, but for general Ivy admissions you fit the profile of a competitive candidate.

Good luck, and don’t listen to your friends.

thanks, that was a confidence booster
