I got into Jhu for the 2011-2012 year, and I submitted my intent to enroll thing in two weeks ago. I'm pretty sure I need to have a jhed id so that I can set up housing and all of that and I think i need to do it soon.

Does it come automatically or in the mail? Because I haven't gotten mine yet, and when I search for my name on the website, it doesn't appear while the names of other people who got in this year do appear. Has anyone else not received it yet? I'm freaking out because I'm worried that i didn't actually get in, and they mixed up my name with someone else because that happened to a friend of mine.

I’d call or email the school.

fwiw…my daughter is in the same boat. I called the registrar on Thursday, they said the ID’s would be created by “mid-May”

That’s cutting it a little close for housing paperwork that has to be in by the 27th, but that still leaves time.

Anyone else gotten (or not gotten) their real ID info yet?

On the facebook message it says this:

For students who submitted their enrollments at the end of April – you have not yet been assigned a JHED ID and access to the New Student Portal. Please be patient. You will be e-mailed this information from the Registrar within 2-3 weeks after your enrollment is confirmed. The issuing of a JHED ID is not …automatic. You will receive this information in time and not missing any deadlines, including the housing selection deadline. Once again, BE PATIENT.
