JHU BME or UMich Eng?

Hey all,

I've narrowed it down to between Michigan and Hopkins (visited both), and I can't make up my mind.

Here's the deal:
Cost is nearly identical (for the purpose of this discussion, just disregard it).

I was one of those students everyone thought was going to get in to a top ivy; great scores, grades etc. Regardless, didn't happen, and I've accepted this and happy with my two options. That being said, when I applied to JHU, I clicked BME just because I knew it was ranked #1. I don't really know if that's what I want to do (heck, even if eng. is for me at all).

I liked both schools when I visited, but BME stressed me out at Hopkins. From what I gathered, it's very intense and tough to have any other focus. I'm instate for Michigan and I feel like I would have more flexibility in choosing an engineering major.

Do any of you have any insight for this? Is JHU's prestige that much better than Michigan's? Is it worth just doing whatever it takes for 3-4 years to graduate BME from Hopkins regardless if I like it?

For any of you that are BME to Hopkins, what was your experience?

Thanks... Panicking a little :p

Michigan and Hopkins are academic peers. They are both excellent schools. Michigan is stronger overall in engineering, but Hopkins is no slouch either. Go with fit in your case. Which campus and enviroment appealed to you more?
