JHU Early Decision Forum

AP scores, as far as I know, don’t really have an effect on admissions. As for SAT scores, they look at self-reported first to get an idea of the type of applicant they’re dealing with and then they double check with official score reports to make sure everything’s accurate.

Hey guys, just a quick opinion I need. Ok so I got a 630 on the math sat reasoning test, but a 740 on the math level 2 subject test. Will my math 2 make up at all for the 630, or is it just an asset? By the way, I am well aware that even my math 2 score is only decent. Thanks in advance!

just submitted my application!! :O

I’m so nervous. I come from a very competitive, elite public school, and even at my school last year 13 people applied to Johns Hopkins but none of them were accepted. This year, there’s so far a total of 7 people, including me, and I’m so terrified of not getting in…

do we still find out on december 15th even with the app deadline pushed back?

@Onerepublic96

If we are both accepted we probably wont get along on campus.
I don’t like One Republic’s music…
Not.
One.
Bit.

@whatisbusiness haha tbh I’ve stopped listening to onerepublic a year or two ago, and the account was made earlier :stuck_out_tongue: I’ve just never changed it. I bet we could be friends if we both got accepted.

Jeez its so weird but so cool to think that half the people on this forum will get accepted and those that do are gonna actually meet each other in real life ya know after knowing each other by username on this forum. Kinda cool haha :)

Just submitted my application and supplement… best of luck to everyone here!

Has anyone applied for an interview yet?

When is the absolute deadline before the admissions committee dismisses applications? Is it at November 8 @ 11:59? So if I send my application tonight, I will definitely be fine right?

Submitted my application last night!! Best of luck to all of you ED applicants!

Guys do you know if Johns Hopkins requires 1st quarter grades sent in? If our first quarter ended about now, does Hopkins require that we send in our first quarter grades? I didn’t do so well this quarter so I was hoping to not send those grades in.

I think it just depends on your school. I don’t think Hopkins requires them…but my school sends them anyway -__-

If Hopkins doesn’t require them do you think we could ask the school to not send them? I mean if it’s not a requirement…

I looked at my phone missed calls. Apparently got a call from a JHU phone # and it wasn’t admissions. I can’t verify the extension either. So stressed haha

34 more days…good luck everyone!!

wow…34?

how do the results come out? by email or do we get a username for the JHU site?

I believe we’re going to get usernames and passwords for a decision page like a week or two before decisions are released. arghhhhh so stressful

Just find this thread and drop by to say hi. I submitted my application 3 weeks ago. Best of luck everyone! Hope we’ll meet in hopkins ;)

I know, right?? It’s kind of exciting to think that some of us will actually end up meeting in real life at Hopkins after knowing each other on this forum.

Onerepublic96, that indeed would be awesome!

My intended major is either international studies or political science
