JHU Freshman Academic Advising Profile question

On one of the sections regarding your high school classes it asks,

"Which courses did you like, dislike or perceive as weak preparation for college?"

with Math, Physics, Chemistry, English, Social Sciences, and Language.

A drop-down box has the choices, "Perceived as Weak, Want to take at Hopkins, and both perceived as weak and want to take at Hopkins"

however, dont all three options mean the same thing? if i perceived my high school education in Calc AB was weak, wouldnt i want to take it at Hopkins? what if i didnt think it was weak?

how do i answer this?

Systematically. Seems fairly straight forward but try to view it as a Punnett Square type:

-----------------------------(A) WEAK PREP-------------(B) OK PREP

(1) WANT TO TAKE ----------------1A---------------------1B

(2) DO NOT WANT TO TAKE -------2A-------------------- 2B

Your choices are perceived as the following:

Perceived as Weak, (2A)
Want to take at Hopkins, (1B)
Both perceived as weak and want to take at Hopkins (1A)

Perhaps that helps…

Wealth, I was very good at genetics in high school and your analogy confuses me more! :)

My interpretation is that, let’s say you’re a history major who took AP Calc in high school. As a history major, you don’t need to take calc at Hopkins and you could just walk away with the credits, as opposed to say, a mechanical engineer who would definitely need the knowledge.
