Hi,
I am having the hardest time deciding between these two schools - where do i apply ED. So perhaps you guys can help me. I want to study chemistry or history-general, and go to a professional school for law or medicine, so thats my biggest problem- im not sure. So i was wondering if you guys could talk about which has and overall better program in both the areas, the social life, et cetera. both schools are are great but you can't, as you know, apply ed to both...

Perhaps a less convoluted way of asking: Which school offers an overall better experience, academically and otherwise, for someone planning on applying to top professional schools?

It would be difficult to choose between the two on the basis of academics - both are outstanding. The two are very different in terms of lifestyle, however. Small town vs. large city, for example. You might look at this article from the JHU Alumni magazine - seems very honest and even self-critical, given the source -

Oh WOW. ur problem is exactly like mine....grad school for law or medicine....i think im leaning towards my love for history and go with law.....lol........im applying ED Cornell, and RD if i dont get in...to JHU

I highly recommend visiting the schools. On paper they both seem like places anyone would like. I had a tough decision between Cornell v. JHU bme but a visit convinced me that JHU wasn't for me.
