JHU or Duke?

Hopkins excellent for only medicine? SAIS is #1 international relations program in America, highly regarded among the top three best graduate schools for IR, along with Columbia's SIPA, Harvard KSG, and Georgetown.

French at Hopkins, History of Art, Cellular Biology, BME, Public Health, Neuroscience, possible more, ranked #1 in the nation in multiple rankings across the board.

There is a clear difference between PROMOTING and bashing. To say Hopkins is only good for medicine shows our point that you know nothing of the school your talking about.

I wouldn't even dare comment on Duke's programs because I'm not even remotely qualified to say anything about it. Promotion is one thing, commenting without clear knowledge of what your talking of is ignorance at its more primal level.

Good for you and the OP I suppose. I turned down Duke twice for undergrad and grad. Maybe I'll do so a third time should i choose to apply there as faculty.

PS: Stay away from the Stanford forum too as we hate Dookies there too.

oh, i see... stanford is a good school

I'm not sure. I have a BME friend down the hall that turned down Stanford for Hopkins BME. Another turned down MIT and a bunch of other universities for Hopkins too.

Yes, Stanord is a good school. Duke is GREAT.

They're all great schools, lets leave it at that.
