I have recieved a scholarship of $28,500 from Fulbright and Penn accepted to pay for room&board and all other expenses. Unforuntately, JHU didn't give any financial aid. I haven't received financial aid info from Vanderbilt yet.
I know JHU ranks 1st in the nation at biomedical engineering and Penn SEAS is not as strong as JHU. But it's so hard to make a decision. Waiting for suggestions and advices.. :)

Probably JHU for BME (as you've stated yourself). Realize that you have to work hard though and really push yourself. I would probably kick Vanderbilt out of your mind and decide on whether you like competition or not. If the answer is yes and you can work hard, go to JHU.

thanks for your comment. but what if i am not sure i want to study biomedical engineering? if i go to Upenn, i think i'll have more opportunities like taking classes from Wharton to see what's the right place for me or i may try to get into Jerome Fisher's programme which combines management&engineering.

It depends on you then. I don't know how "unsure" you are so look deep down and then do some research. Read some excerpts from people who HAVE majored in BME and see what they say.

Vandy...if it were my choice.

More laidback, less cutthroat, smaller classes, less competition for research spots at the undergrad level, more traditional college experience.

Just an opinion.
IB

This is easy... Penn has a top 10 program in biomedical engineering, and it looks like the finances make it a good deal for you too. Plus, Philadelphia>>>Baltimore.
