Question regarding colleges recalculating students GPAs based on core classes/etc. Does JHU recalculate based on ± grades? For example if our school has an A- as 90-93% would that fall below a 4.0?
D21 received a few A-s because her school adds +/- to grades. However if she would have attended our local public there are no +/- just A/B/C… so if you get a 90% or a 99% it’s still an A. We live in California and the UCs remove any +/- from grades so that would make sense if our public’s are just following suit since our state schools don’t care.
I’m just hoping this doesn’t hurt her come Application time. Anyone have experience here? TIA
