jhu v northwestern v notre dame v vanderbilt v emory v WUSTL (Phew)

I'd appreciate it if someone can rank these schools according to the selectivity (ie acceptance rates, etc.) also since I dont have steller stats, I need to know which one places less emphasis on just GPA and Test Scores, and more on ECs and leadership, which are my strengths.

If for whatever reason u need my stats, then here they are:

hmmm...im from oregon too, what position did you play?

anyway, i didnt apply to notre dame, vanderbilt, emory, or wustl, so i wouldnt know anything about those schools. but i can tell you that your essays are probably one of the most important parts of your application. based on what you included below, many applicants will have what you have and your essays will have to make you stand out.

fyi - i had a similar profile and i applied to jhu and northwestern and got accepted to jhu and rejected by northwestern. in my opinion, i think its up to the essays.

Do a lot of research on your schools as some of them are quite different in regards to the top programs of interest, location as well as size of the undergraduate student body. The schools you listed ** all ** have great things to offer -- it just depends what you want to take advantage of.

I would say ** Johns Hopkins University & Northwestern ** are probably the two that stand out in the group for me however as being exceptional institutions at almost everything they do. :)
