Hi guys, I am admitted to both JHU and CMU. My interest is in information security. The program of JHU is Master of Science in Security Informatics, and the program of CMU is Master of Science in Information Security Policy Management. Which one is better fit for career. I think JHU’s program is more on technical side, and it has Information Security Institution , but CMU’s information management major is ranked the number 1 in the US. I’m in dilemma now, hope you guys can give me some suggestions.
Go with the best in the U.S., which in this case is Carnegie Mellon. Solely from a career standpoint, that will open more doors for you. It’s like going to Yale for a career in law or MIT for a career in engineering. Good luck!
Hi, thanks for your reply. I am just not sure if the more management side program is as competitive as more technical program.
If money is not an issue, go for Carnegie Mellon.
Hi, could you give me some reasons? Thanks!
I would also go to Carnegie Mellon. Its degree combines a variety policy classes, and if anything that would only further help with a career and also broaden your appeal to possible employers.
Carnegie Mellon is a very strong school with anyone going in to the STEM fields and has great academics.
