JHU vs Duke vs Berkeley for BME

Which school would you choose and why? Money is not that big of a problem and social life is a bit low on the priority list as well. Im looking to go into medicine later. As far as I see it, JHU and Berkeley are known for premed, JHU and Duke for BME, JHU and Duke for medicine..... at least according to US News. Suggestions anyone? Being international, visiting is not an option over the next two weeks so I need all the help I can get.

Another question to anyone who knows - I am interested in Biotechnology, genetics, stem cell research etc. Would these come under BME or another form of Bioengineering??

Thanks

Anyone????

i say duke

Chlor,
Would that be because of better reputation?...Or perhaps a better program??

JHU BME is #1 in the world, so probably hopkins.

for BME .. it's Hopkins by far!

Hopkins has a stem cell research lab which will be benefiting from a bill passed by the Maryland General Assembly to fund stem cell research at $15 million a year.

You can't go wrong with either JHU or Duke for BME. I think they're #1 and #2 respectively in those fields. If you're purely into academics, I would say go to JHU as Duke is a little more laid back, social, and big on sports.

Thanks a lot, all of you. I asked around and the general consensus is JHU. I sent off my deposit yesterday so Hopkins 2010 it is!!
