JMU- What are my chances??

After visiting JMU this summer i knew that it was the college for me and I desperately want to get in! I feel like it's fairly hard to get accepted though and I'm growing very uncertain about my chances. My GPA is a 3.43 and SAT score is a 1250. I'm a senior and since visiting the college i've been working very hard to improve my grades. I currently have straight A's in my classes and I plan to send my first semester grades in with my early action application to JMU. In addition, I've participated in cross country/track for 3 years/ have a summer job at a local children's camp/ completed a community service project in Tanzania. I've taken 3 A.P. courses and am in honor courses. Junior year did not go well for me mostly due to medical reasons but my guidance counselor is mentioning that in his recommendation so hopefully they'll notice it. Btw I'm out-of-state, which probably won't help my chances.

Sidenote: I've read that JMU is really trying to diversify their campus? I was born in Germany/went to international school in Singapore/am british. should i mention this in my personal statement to try and increase my chances?

Getting into JMU really is my biggest goal right now. i would really appreciate any feedback you have!!
