I am majoring in either electronic materials engineering or materials science and engineering next year at UC Davis or structural engineering at UCSD. How are the job outlooks for these fields? I know that MSE isn't a popular major and not many people have this degree, so would that be a negative or a positive in finding jobs? My parents are worried that I won't be able to find a job after graduating and won't be able to start my own business if I can't find a job (as I would be able to with structural eng). Are these worries valid? Any insight is appreciated. Thanks.
