Job Prospective

I've been lurking around this forum hoping to find an answer to my dillema. However, I belive that my situation is more complicated than normal. Anyway, first I want to talk a little about myself: I'm an International Relations major and I'm also pursuing a double degree (not a double major ) in economics. I am bilingual in english, portuguese and fluent in spanish and french. I am also learning mandarim right now. I was suposed to graduate in IR only with only a minor in economics, but everyone says that the market is way much better for people with a BA in economics rather than IR.
The thing is; I'm not as good in math then I am in all the other IR subjects. My GPA dropped, and I'm not happy with it. My advisor sugested that I continue to pursue the degree in IR but with a double major in asian studies (since this area interests me). This way I can excell in the area that I am better at and even go to graduate school or law school (I am thinking about that too). But I'm afraid that her opinion might be biased since she IS the advisor of IR and PoliSci.
My question is: what do employees preffer? What is the average salary for a IR major and a econ major? What are normally the areas that people with IR go to? And mostly, what would you do?

Thanks!
