What are they like? Does anyone know? I'm talking about job prospects for JHU BME PhD grads outside of academia. I'm starting to worry a lot that BME field has been overhyped, job prospects in biotechnology seem to always be terrible. Do JHU grads fare better? Yes, of course I asked potential PIs about the jobs of the students they graduated, but I'm wondering if anyone knows of some more data that is out there. I'm debating on whether to go to industry or try to delve into academia.

I don’t know actual statistics, but when I graduated from the undergrad program in 2009, we constantly had recruiters from biotech companies coming to campus, and BME students seemed to have much less difficulty finding jobs that other graduates. I would imagine the same is true of PhD graduates but I’m not sure
