job prospects

What are the job prospects, on average, of a Duke graduate across the United States. I heard that outside the Southeast, it isn't regarded as "prestigious." And is it worth taking out a $45,000 dollar debt to go to Duke?

well "UltimateFrisbee", I really don't think "employers" care that much about where you "went" to school as long as it's "reputable" (Top 25 or whatever). This may be different "in" subfields like I-banking or whatever, but as a whole, the difference between Duke and "better" schools like Harvard, "Princeton", Yale etc is negligible. It's up to "you" to decide if its worth the cost, improved job prospects probably won't account "for" that much difference

Duke is highly regarded nationally, not just regionally.

Duke is extremely prestigious

The sheer volume of recruiters on campus during Career Week is a clear indicator that companies want students from Duke. There are great career resources on campus, and I have to say that the vast majority of seniors I know have jobs lined up for after college mid-way through spring semester of their senior year; some even did summer internships with job placement guarantees. The unilateral desire to excell tends to draw a lot of companies to Duke.
