A few years ago. Ok 30 but why quibble. A group of four men reached this same point. They decided to go it alone, took any business that came their way. Worked hard, wrote, and a few years later they merged their small office with a national firm and made millions. They stayed at the mega firm, doing great work and getting wealthy. One of the four was named a federal district judge, then on to the court of appeals. About six months ago a group of people from another firm struck out on their own. They have been the beneficiaries of client referrals of business that is too small for their old firms or for which those firms’ rates are too high. In some ways this is a good time to have great credentials and experience because some clients want that service at lower rates. I wish you the very best.
