Jobs about petroleum engineering?

i just got accepted letter from tamu petroleum engineering department, the top petroleum engineering around. i know it has great pay but the whole industray is declining and i still have four years at college till i can work. i m wondering is this really worth a shot?what if the whole thing run out or collapse when i'm in middle age

The whole industry is not declining. Quite the opposite in some areas.

i know, for now, plane are still using oils and plastic producation thing.but PE is focus on extracting and drill.i mean,as you said, some areas are being important and certainly not the tech of drilling.if there is no much need for big amount of oil, what am gonna do then…

my question is very indistinct?

Get out now. There will be no oil jobs!

Well I’ll cut you some slack assuming English is not your first language. Can you explain to me why the whole industry is declining? And why there won’t be much of a need for oil?

In fact, oil will not run out until about after 2100. How many years you are planning to work?
