The obvious is a nurologist/ medical scientist. But those are 10 yrs of schooling. Just want a job in the field preferably research but treatment will work. If there’s a career I did not know about please let me know
I took a look at the Headache section of the Mayo clinic neurology department.
http://www.mayo.edu/research/departments-divisions/department-neurology/programs/headaches
“Drug therapy, biofeedback training, stress reduction, and elimination of certain foods from the diet are the most common methods of preventing and controlling migraine and other vascular headaches.”
You could look into careers in those fields in addition to being a lab worker. Pharmaceutical research, biofeedback training, nutrition research, nurse practitioner, child life specialist (help children cope with medical conditions)
Several of the large health centers have headache centers. Nose around those sites and see if you can get leads on possible careers.
Nursing? That’s about all I can think of.
