<p>Well john jay has mostly singles, carman mostly doubles. John jay bathrooms are shared by the entire floor(one for females and one for males), carman has in suite bathrooms(4 to 1 ratio).
Carman is known for being louder, having more parties and being more social…but people living in john jay have told me they still find john jay social.The dining room(john jay) and the snack place(JJ’s) are actually in the john jay building-so i guess you wont have to go far if theres inclement weather…</p>
<p>They are both only for first years…john jay does have some doubles though. To some extent its basically comparing single vs double.
