I'm going a bit crazy thinking about colleges and my chances of actually getting in to my top choices.. My number one choice is johns hopkins. Here are my projected stats (btw, I'm applying early):
SAT: 2100
GPA: 3.5 uw, 4.5w
SAT2's: math2-770, chem-750, bio-780
AP's: 11 AP's (mostly 5's) only submitting 4's and 5's
EC's: research in university lab- 300+ hrs
varsity basketball
science Olympiad
MSA
aid in east africa over summer
young democrat
Ethnicity: AA
Gender: XY

Chances and advice would be wonderful!

I think you’re SAT scores are a little on the low end. I know a couple of people who applied to Hopkins with above 2200 on the SAT and didn’t get in. Also, you’re uw gpa is kinda low. I know a student at Hopkins personally and he works at admissions and reviews people’s applications, and he said that they have rejected a lot of people with perfect gpa’s and SAT scores. You have to set yourself apart. BUT, you’re EC’s are really good! I would say if you do well on the essay, you have a good chance of getting in. Good luck.
