Only 4 hours. Good luck guys

Hey all, current JHU undergrad here. I just wanted to reaffirm something that you’ve been told that stands so true. Whether you get accepted or not is hardly a good measure of how smart you are or how successful you will become. Understand that in the context of your whole life, going to a certain college is not a big of a deal as you might think it is. It will not make you any happier, any selfless, or any better than those who get into an elite college or those who never had the chance to pursue a higher education.
I know it can be nerve wrecking since it may be one of the biggest events in your life so far, but hold tight. If you are truly someone who is motivated and have the right priorities, you’ll impact the world and make plenty of life-long friends along the way no matter where you go.

Does anyone here is still nervous about Finanical aid checklist on the JHU application status portal?

Good luck guys! Venezuelan BME applicant

it’s 11:18pm here in hong kong, tryna decide whether to sleep and check tomorrow or stay awake till 3

i know i asked this earlier but does anyone know if jhu selects students by taking majors into consideration or is everyone placed in the same pool for review of applications??

@Monster1997 Mine still says not reviewed. I am really worried.

Anyone else applying to Writing Seminars?

Everyone is placed in the same review.

is engineering considered separately??

Hey @Dan786: what do you mean by reviewed? I have my financial documents listed as “received.” Does this count as reviewed?

I personally called them a week or two ago to ask them if they had received my documents from IDOC. They said that they had to load the documents from IDOC themselves for international students which is why my docs hadn’t shown up as “received.” After calling them, they listed them as “received.”

Anyways, everyone, I hope for the best for all of you!

I don’t think so. I’m pet sure BME is the only one reviewed separately

@BlackMagic81 @yeah123yeah yeah…i wanted to ask if engineering / arts and sciences / are considered separately.
for ex. from schools like washu and northwestern they say sth like “you’ve been accepted to the school of engineering” so i guessed they do consider each student’s intended major and school. JHU isn’t like this then…?

i only trust to the low engineering female ratio to get in but if it is not considered separately…

Little exercise to pass the time?

If you are accepted today…

  1. Will you accept immediately or do you have wait until you hear from someone else?
  2. Why JHU?
  3. Why is it better / worse than others on your list?

@yalebound2020 Wait, didn’t you get into Yale EA? Besides Stanford or Harvard would you really go elsewhere?

Princeton / Columbia / Oxford.

Not to Harvard / not to Stanford.
