Johns Hopkins or Duke Premed?

Hey guys,

I am considering Johns Hopkins and Duke for premed, a neuroscience major. I guess you could call me a cool nerd.

I am not afraid of working hard, and I've spent the past 4 years in a pretty rigorous IB program.

That given, I do enjoy my life. I don't go to many parties, but I am heavily involved as captain of my sport and concertmaster of my orchestra. Activities and the people I meet are the main things that make me happy. If I don't have to do activities, I would be very sad.

Where do you think I should choose? I already visited, and both seemed okay. But

Congratulations! Don’t expect people to make your decision for you. At least, I won’t go there. If you are willing to work hard, as you said, you really can’t go wrong with either school. Both have the rigor in their curricula to prepare you well and both give you excellent opportunities for research and ECs. If finances are not an issue, just go with what feels like a better fit for you.
