@PPofEngrDr I haven’t received the WUSTL one, but if you’re referring to the label the WUSTL has, no. It’s labeless. It just has a tracking number and i was able to track it to the DC area. I highly doubt it has anything to do with JHU, but I was just hoping, haha
@Ashtash it is a real grinding…
To answer a few questions I just saw, research experience is extremely common among accepted students but my D was accepted ED2022 without any research and no interview (and no Subject tests) so there’s hope for all.
About the informed delivery…for ED, Johns Hopkins did send a welcome packet and I believe it arrived Monday when decisions were released Friday. Accepted students out west received theirs later. It was a large envelope (not legal size) and included a folder inside of it with welcome materials.
Oh…and btw…they say decisions are released at 3pm ET but we were able to see the decision sometime between 2:50-2:55PM so go ahead and check if you’ve run out of patience like many do. Good luck to all!
@Kayak24 thanks for heads up, being RD it will be tomorrow for us.
@edszebra Almost in the same boat as well, we will see the outcome tomorrow!
@PPofEngrDr Ah, turns out the tracker i was using just defaulted to the zipcode and city of the USPS HQ which happens to be DC…
Good luck!
I did indicate that I want financial aid. And what do you mean?
@Ashtash well atleast we know this is definite tomorrow at definite time rather than sweat. It is another round of Jumanji.
@Ashtash ^
I get my decision during the middle of school, idk if I should check it on the spot or wait till school ends
@dirtroadanthem Well you were saying “is this good news” and my point was that if you indicated you wanted FA, but didn’t send the form, they were simply wanting you to submit the form. I wouldn’t read into it.
I emailed an AO about a month and 1/2 ago about something and she emailed me back about a week before decisions came out. She could’ve ignored me, but she decided to respond about something that was only relevant if i were to go there. Anyway, I ended up getting straight up rejected.
This process is so stressful, especially as it gets closer. We’ll know tomorrow, so just try to relax. Could it be good news? Maybe, but it probably means nothing.
Moral of the story: Don’t read into anything (except your actual decision letter, lol).
I really truly hope that you are admitted! Best of luck to you!
Tip for those who are receiving their first college decision: Preparing yourself for rejection helps SOOO much…seriously…so much…just saying
^that sounds weird, but seriously just simply facing the reality of a rejection helps so much
What helps me is to think of all the applicants like me and better than me that get rejected as well. We’re all in the same boat, and some of us just get lucky with that acceptance
I feel as if after a certain point (GPA, test scores etc.), it can come down to luck. Which is kind of upsetting but hey, who knows, could work in my favor
good luck everyone for tomorrow!
Whether we’re rejected, waitlisted, or accepted, I hope for the best for all of us tomorrow.
Good luck everybody! Remember: life always has a plan, and provided you put in the effort, it will always work out for you.
Good luck to everyone! It is absolutely insane that we have come this far…just months ago, we were busy typing away our essays.
It has honestly been such an honor being able to chat with all of you brilliant, talented individuals. I know that no matter what the decision is tomorrow, you will go on to do amazing things
