Rejected…absolutely broken.

Those accepted, can you please post your stats??

Accepted to Krieger College of Arts & Sciences as a junior.

College GPA: 4.00
Transferring from a public 4-year in New York
Recommendation: (1) from Distinguished Professor
Extra-curriculars: Internship, Job, a few volunteer activities. (I would say strength of ECs 8/10)
Strength of essay: (I’d say) 8/10.

Any specific questions I can answer?

Dang, my college GPA was also 4.00, transferring from a private 4-year in Virginia
I had 3 recommendations. 2 from distinguished professors and 1 from a well known plastic surgeon in DC.
I’ve had 2 credited internships with reconstructive surgeons (in DC and in New Orleans), multiple jobs, and was the leader of a volunteer group.
I was extremely confident in my essays…

But I was rejected. Feel sorta crushed heh

Rejected. Was initially waitlisted as a senior in high school so I thought I had a chance as a transfer and really wanted to go because my sister is currently attending jhu and I love it there. I applied as a sophomore. I’m currently at the Honors College of a state school.

High School GPA: 101.70/100
Class Rank in high school: 1/375
College GPA: 4.0

I thought my essays were an 8/9 out of 10 and I had several solid ECs including a research position at a lab, a published article in a pre-health journal, volunteer tutor at an elementary school, etc. Nothing that stood out too much so I guess that’s where my application was lacking. Also, the professor I asked for a recommendation did not know me too well so that could’ve been a weak point.

Overall, extremely crushed. I might apply again as a junior but I’m not sure. Congratulations to all those who were accepted.

Also submitted SATs and subject tests but I’m not sure if they care about those. I was also a National AP scholar with 9 AP exams, five 5s and four 4s.
SAT(new): 1530/1600
Math II: 800
Biology: 760
