Johns Hopkins vs. WashU vs. USC (Half Scholarship) vs. Vanderbilt vs. Rice PreMed

Hey was wondering if I could get some input from students at Rice about this.
All I can say is that Rice has a really high acceptance of students into medical school. They give you a lot of opportunities for shadowing, research, and in general preparation for MCAT/applying.

The Texas Medical Center is right by Rice, a literal 5-10 minute walk, and it’s the largest medical center in the world. The staff at Memorial Hermann told me that it’s larger than downtown Dallas and has over 1 million people moving through it a day.

If you’re interested in med school and want to get involved in either clinical research or volunteer experience, Rice’s proximity to TMC can’t be beat, especially since all of the hospitals love Rice kids.
