Hello, i am interested in joint concentration(Undergraduate) of Mechanical Engg. (or Aerospace Engg. if possible) and Physics. I have heard that getting a joint concentration with Engg. is quite difficult in Harvard considering the fact that Engg. is already really challenging, can anyone tell me if it is possible and if no can i at least have one of them as secondary concentration. And will i have to pay fees for both concentrations differently or fees will be equivalent to that of one concentration?

I can answer the last part of your question. Every Harvard student must take 8 general education courses and 1 expository writing course in order to graduate. In addition, students must take 1 year of a foreign language if they have not satisfied the requirement with an AP Test, SAT II Subject Test or IB Test. For some students. that’s a lot of extra courses to cram into a Joint Concentration, so they must take some classes over the summer – which does cost extra money (financial aid is available for summer term classes). However, if you can schedule everything in 4 years by taking 5/6 classes in a term, then there are no extra fees for doing a Joint Concentration.
