<p>Is anyone familiar with the joint JD/LLM programs like at Columbia where in four years you get both a JD and LLM? Is it really worthwhile? Can you actually get a job in Europe with the LLM or is it just a fancy way of studying international law?</p>
<p>Also - do you really need to do the joint program to get the LLM after the JD? It's a one-year program anyway. Couldn't you just go to the lawschool of your choice (or the one you get in :) ) and then do the LLM afterwards?</p>
