Journalism Major transferring to SDSU

Anyone as a Journalism major accepted to SDSU yet?
I'm driving myself crazy!
If so, GPA and units?

I’m a Journalism major as well! Still waiting :frowning:
I’ve been checking every day now since they accepted students around this time last year.
I was accepted to Cal Poly. Just waiting to hear back from SDSU.

@Jrenee Omg we’re twins… What’s your gpa and from where are you transferring?

I was just accepted today as a journalism-public relations major!
My GPA is ~3.75 and I currently have 53 units but will have 66 by the end of Spring.
Kinda torn between SDSU and CSULB.

Whats your first choice??

@Mishoberst sdsu is my first choice and I got in today as well! Congrats!!! I have a 3.2 and was worried sick I wouldn’t get it! What is your first choice?!

Accepted!!!

In state/ Bay area
GPA reported on app: 3.75
GPA after fall 2012: 3.63
All prereqs completed for major and general ed

YAY!!!
I love San Diegoooo

Congrats! We can all be friends haha

Sdsu has a better journalism school. My best friend goes to long beach and loves it. Depends on what you’re looking for. I didn’t want to leave san diego.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I am curious as to how SDSU would evaluate my standing:

I’ll have a 3.3 when I apply, at 67 transferable units.

creator, VP, and COO of Finance Economics Business Achievement

member of English Lit Club and American Marketing Association Club

Columnist for Homeward Street Journal (a newspaper which educates the public on homelessness and poverty in Sacramento), and the American River Current (my junior college’s newspaper)

I have a solid real-world take on what journalism requires, and I’m hoping this would balance out a GPA such as mine, which is not terribly competitive. What do you think?
