Journalism school for a friend.

So I'm posting for a friend who'd like to go to college for journalism.
She's a junior.

GPA: ~3.7
Takes mostly regular classes, AP english, and a few honors class.
Above-average student but not like ALL AP and honors classes.

For a college she'd like (if possible):
Medium-large.
Can't be too expensive.
If possible, have generous scholarships.
Location: Anywhere but down south. So either out west, the coasts, or the mid west.

Anything else that would be helpful, let me know. Thanks so much if you can help :].

i hear university of missouri has a really goo journalism program

northwestern has one of the best, if not the best, journalism schools in the country. so if she has really good test scores, id suggest applying there. also indiana, ohio and syracuse have really good j schools as well.

It's a pity she's not willing to down South, because UNC Chapel Hill has one of the very best journalism programs in the country and offers a much better student experience than most universities.

Northwestern. Syracuse. Mizzou.

Those are the big 3.

I second (or fifth) Northwestern.

Ohio University. Great journalism program. Gorgeous campus. Really fun college town.
