journalism

so i've always been told that northwestern has one of the most prestigious journalism schools in the country, but when i took a look at the application there are no supplements, no essays, no submissions to get in. am i missing something, or can anyone get in? is there a selection process after the regular application?
thanks!

No, it has THE most prestigious undergraduate journalism program in the world. :P

Medill has never had an application separate from the other undergraduate colleges. Their admission stats (as has been discussed in other threads) are similar to Arts and Sciences but they tend to weight extracurricular involvement and demonstrated interest in journalism/writing/politics/policy/etc. to a greater degree. Fundamentally, they’re interested in academically strong students interested in pursuing study in journalism, media, and communications. They know they can hone writing quality. They can’t create academic strength.
