So I am really interested in going to Medill, and working in broadcast journalism in the future. I have good SAT scores, do a lot of extracurriculars, and have a good GPA with lots of AP classes, and I do think my essays are pretty strong. The only problem is that I really have almost 0 formal journalism experience. I started on my school's yearbook recently, and worked for the newsletter (not newspaper; the writing was just very fun and informal) but that's it. I have, however, always done a lot of personal writing outside of school, and I am an avid news reader.

Still--is there any shot for me at Medill with this? I'm asking because it is what I really want to do, but I also like Northwestern as a school a lot, and if I don't have a chance at Medill, I don't want to "waste" my application applying to it.

Thanks for all your help!
