I'm now officially going to Georgetown Session I (most rigorous of them all bwahaha). Anyone else getting to go to this Summer School...we can meet up before we "meet up"?

I'm going to G-town session I also!

Are you in school year JSA?

Hey, im going too, what grade are you guys in?

Tell Chris McMahon "Dima says hi"

I'm going to be a senior next year...taking Foreign Policy @ georgetown

Yeah I'm also going to be a senior, and I am taking Constitutional Law. So where are you guys from? I'm from california.

i'm from Jersey. From what i've heard about people who are going, it seems like a lot of california and jersey kids will be there.

My name's michele, maybe I'll see ya there!

still mulling over whether I can shell out that much money...

if i do, i'll be at Yale taking Constitutional Law.

EDIT: senior next year as well, from SoCal

Stanford right here

somebody holla and tell me how it is

anybody going?

ebonytear: one of the reason's i'm going is cause i got a nice scholarship...it pays to be lieutenant governor in jsa sometimes ;-)

if i hadn't gotten the scholarship, my parents were totally not willing to just shell out thousands of dollars, cause i couldn't pay for it all with my work money.

if you live in a state where there is a JSA Symposium (4 days, a few hundred bucks) they are a lot of fun, I'm going for my third time to the NJ one this summer.

yeah, i live in cali, but i've never heard of JSA before until I looked for random summer schools online. I do collegiate debate instead. I just wanted to have an oppurtunity to debate with my peers (rather than people...3+ years older than me...who can drink - legally (usually), drive, etc....yes, still haven't gotten permit) and go to a gorgeous, excellent university - that I wish I could go to. :)

Hm. Can you tell me more about the Symposium? There is one in Cali, isn't there?

There is one in california visit this site to find out more information http://www.jsa.org/summer/symposium/symposium.html . Mishy, do you know how many people will be at the Georgetown program?

Taking Constitutional Law at Gtown I

Im going to georgetown, session II. im going to be a junior next year. maybe i will see some of you there!

I'm going to Gtown Session 1

Nice people, where are you all from?

ebonytear: check out the link left about the symposium. Basically, you dont take classes or anything like you do at summer school. Its only 4 days, and during the day you visit the state capitol and hear from various speakers. the speakers differ each year but Ive heard from state senators/assemblymen, the state attorney general, the governor's chief of staff, etc. when i went last year, symposium ended the day before Governor McGreevy resigned, so it was really cool to have just met all the people that were talked about on TV for the following weeks. At night, you have debates and discussions and get a bunch of free time. If you are interested in politics, and want something relatively low-key, interesting, and something that doesn't take up your whole summer I highly suggest it. There are two in California I believe, one near capitol, the other in LA.

n1: Im not sure how many people go to summer school, i can try to find out if your curious.

juniorinthefall: see ya there!

i hate domestic. arg, its so gross. lol. i'm only interested in international politics or constitutional/international law....so i don't think i'd even want to go to the symposium b/c not only is it domestic, but its state-specified domestic. gah, with the Governator. ewwww. Yup, if I could skip domestic extemp and debates, I would...but I can't...I just hate talking about social security, medicare, medical, no child left behind...whatever...the only thing I find remotely interesting is agricultural subsidies. lol. :)

and i like classes...and i really want to visit Yale; or I did when I applied. When I applied, I was obsessed about Yale, so I put it as my first choice...and I want something long, but it might just cost too much, and I'll just go to visit my family in China instead (not that that is any cheaper...but, lol...)
