These are the populations of the ENTIRE state.

http://merrill.olm.net/mdocs/pop/colonies/colonies.htm

Clearly the majority of these populations resided in cities.

badegine, you are remember correctly, but some people are saying that the cities were in fact connected by rivers, so idk.

I seem to remember reading the question as 'inter-connecting' rivers though...that surely means rivers is right? Again, I may have dreamt this :-)

What were the answer choices to the one about the company and what would it most support?

Thanks a bunch.

"In 1790, the year of the first census, no American city had a population of 50,000 persons and only 5 had more than 10,000."
http://www.answers.com/topic/urbanization

There you go, that choice can't possibly be the answer.

bts, therefore the answwer is rivers

yes, i believe so.

what about the ? that asked what mCcarthy, nixon, and kennedy had in common?

actually, im not sure if those were the three people they asked about...but i know that one of the answer choices was that their rise had to do with anticommunism, b/c that is what I chose

McCarthy, JFK, and Nixon all began their post WWII careers as anti-communists. Atleast that's what I put.

That answer didn't seem right to me thought, it seemed almost too easy.

How about the question about how McCarthy's career came to an end?

i dont think it was an except question...
i believe the answer was 25,000 ppl

He went after the army on television, and most of America realized how crazy he actually was. Worded differently, of course.

It was definitely an except question.

when it said colonial cities were interconnected by rivers I believe that was true becasue many major southern cities and excellent navigable rivers as did many norhtern cities on the other hand, the answer choice which said most colonial cities had populations less than 25,000 i believe is wrong and is the right answer to the except question

i believe it indicated that they were northen seaboard cities.

regardless, most northeastern seaborad cities had populations exceeding 25,000.

Do you have anything to support that? I'd like to believe you, because that's what I put, but most data seems to indicate otherwise.

By the way, what was the answer to which immigrant group was most limited in the 1920s?
