June 2 US History

haha one of the choices was eisenhower criticized him which was what i put and got it wrong

tricky tricky

I feel a little bit frustrated....

I missed 10 questions,and got maybe 7 or 8wrong answers...

I have never studied US history in school before,i totaly prepared it by myself using KAplan and barron.

unfortunately,i have found that i focused on wrong things. The materials i spent a lot time memorizing wasn't involved in the test....

maybe us history is difficult for international students..

do you know what score i will got?I am mad now..

"'our little brown brothers.'"
That was Taft =)

"I would have put the answer about quickness for Philippines and Cuba, but I put popular support (I think) because I remember my teacher discussing how poorly the US did in the Philippines, unlike the efficiency of the Spanish American War."
Wait- I thought that the question WAS referring to the Spanish-American war?

one question

which contirbute to the decline in popluation in early 16th America..

LesOs - Yes, it was talking about the Spanish-American War, but my mind just told me that it took a long time to finish our goals in the Philippines so I didn't put that answer. I guess I'm wrong though...

Ok the answer to the slavery question in virginia with tobacco is inexpensive source of labor. Although it may be true to say that there was a shortage of labor it was only because whites didn't want to work. They wanted to make money fast. Instead of working themselves they imported cheap slaves from Africa and used this slave labor. Think about it. Most people migrating to the Virginia colony were young, unmarried, POOR, men seeking to get rich fast. Therefore, since they had slaves this tells you slaves were inexpensive. Plus that chart in the other question was the price of slaves during the 19th century not the colonial era. Slave prices only began to skyrocket later in the 18th century and with the introduction of cotton in the 19th century.

what were the other choices for the wwii integration of troops one???

and were haymarket, pullman, and homestead conflicts between laborers and bosses? what were other choices? (sorry to keep repeating myself with that one but it's never been discussed!)

Yeah they were conflicts between laborers and bosses. I dont remember the other choices, except I think one was like manufacturing towns or something.

"one question

which contirbute to the decline in popluation in early 16th America.."

I believe that was because of the disease brought by the Europeans

Does anyone remember more questions? Because I might cancel my score if it goes below 700...

I hate how I don't know if I bubbled in the few questions that I got wrong or skipped it. Arghh..

my score is below 700 :(

how many questions do you think we've gone over in total?

^^ no idea. But I'm one question away from being below 700, so I'm going to cancel it.

i was looking at page 18 and that has a lot of questions discussed i dont know if they are right or not

i saw something about henry clay and canada

what was that i dont think i was here for that discussion if someone finds it in a previous page please let me know i've been looking

anyone remember the first question? it was about why the population went down during the 1500s or somewhere around that. i skipped that one LOL

it was the first choice about disease

I chosethe last one( conflict )and probably chose the wrong answer..

i agree with freezen..

yes...the first question was (A) disease

ah what the hell!

my friends and I were for some reason talking about the US subject test and we were making all sorts of jokes and then all of a sudden we came across the question (If you remember) at the beginning of the test with the largest TERRITORY ever gained by the US.

This was probably the easiest question on the test. Up to now i thought i had it right. But I believed it said state, IDK why and I put Alaska and hahahaha it was obv. Louisiana. I think i'm the only kid in the country to ever get that wrong

isn't it hysterical?

pity me collegeboard

^^^lol..you put Alaska..haha..better luck next time.

you know, foreigners may have different idiology ..

there are something we think different because of different culture .

plus,us history is rather difficult for me..

i have to say i have a liitle difficulty understanding the meaning of questions.
