June 2006 - World History

How did everyone do? unfortunately I did terribly :( I got a 630 and it was somewhat ironic because I checked my score at 6:30 am. I am wondering if it was graded incorrectly though, because when the multiple choice was posted I had about 10 wrong. Anyway, I am definetly re-taking it. Also if a college sees like a 630 and then like a 750+ does that look bad?

780 :( Made soo many stupid mistakes.

670...and this is my strong subject. i was getting 800s on practice tests...definate retake.

eviiiiiiiiiiiil
lets just leave it at that

yea i did pretty bad on the world history also, really wasn't expecting it... everyone is saying to take it again but i mean i have to study all of it again and i think i will be even less well off cuz i willl have forgotten everything i learned in ap world history. i dunno, does a low sat II in a history test really hurt u that much, it really doesn't make sense?? and also will colleges see that i took it as a sophomore in turn giving me some more leeway??? anyone please help!! DIE SAT, DIE!!!!

btw is us history easier than world??? i wanna take it next year so that i can blow this one away for the colleges to ignore

Ah, well. No need to feel too dejected, I hope? In any case I am certain one's academic future will not hinge on a single standardized SAT score--and an absurdly trivial one, at that. :) On the other hand, it never hurts to try again...

For those who are adamant about retaking, all the best!

OP: what do you mean the multiple choice questions were posted? You mean you can find out exactly what questions you got right? How, cuz all I saw when I checked online was my score (760). Is 760 good?

^

I believe the multiple choice questions refer to those posted in the discussion thread following the June 3rd exam

chickenboi8008 - I've heard some people say US History is easier, while others say it is harder than world history. US History is more detail-oriented, but within a smaller time frame and geographical area...

nmehta4: Yeah, I agree with you. I only got a 700, but I really don't know how much better I'd do if I retook it because it was hard to study for and I didn't really know how to study.

Srugyrdrd any advice? I might just leave it till fall of senior year, and focus on my regular SATs and the ACT and my other subject tests this year. Junior year is pretty overwhelming as it is, so...

how bad is a 630?

i dont get it, i looked at that question/answer thread and it seemed like i got most all of them right, and then again i ended up with a terrible score!!

wth I want an 800. :(

760 - For SAT 2 I read that as long as you have scores in at least the mid 700s you're fine.

I expected this considering that I got 760s on two practice tests, even though I thought this was a lot harder.

how are u retaking the test when the next test is in december don't they need your application by like november well atleast for early decision, my deadline is november 30 for UCB do you know if i could take it again and basically state that on my application for them to receive it asap to count it toward my application (hopefully acceptionce) and scholarship packet

790 so close! I knew I should have checked my grade at 8:00!
