June 2008 - Physics

haha ok =]

if im not mistaken, i have a raw score of 67 right now. So i can get a few more wrong i guess..

what about the one with like two satellites, different masses (one is m, other is 2m), same V, same M

ANSWER = both have same acceleration
(Can any1 verify this answer?)

19921992: yes, that's right

Last question:

The one about the earth and the sun, that had to do with kepler's laws.

DOes anyone remember the three choices, I, II, III?

I think 19921991 and eleiese are wrong about that question. The FORCE on each must be the same. f=ma. because their masses differ by an order of two, their accelerations must also differ by an order of two. the 2m one has half the accerleation of the other (m) one.

i agree with chaucer here

i omitted 5 or so and missed 5 or so. thats gonna be cutting it close for 800 huh?

Yes, I also agree with GeoffreyChaucer

Anyone remember what the exact question is? cuz i think i put down like energy or something

yea it was the same because it asked for centripetal acceleration but centripetal acceleration has nothing to do with mass

lol i forgot what other choices were. can anyone tell me?

was it one of those questions with answer choices like
(a) 1/2 acceleration
(b) 1 acceleration
(c) 2 acceleration

etc?

oh nvm i mis-remembered the question.

centripetal acceleration = v^2/R so they should have the same acceleration
