June 2008 SAT II Scores Thread

hi, i'm new to cc and i just got back my subject test scores, i was wondering if i could get some feedback.

US History - 790
Chemistry - 650
Math IIC - 570 (ouch, yeah i know this sucks)

I'm considering applying to Brown and NYU, should i retake math and possibly chem?

Btw, congrats on your scores, all of you guys did amazing

Thanks.

way to copy me echelon lol

Bicyclekick: Are there other subject tests you think you'd do really well on? If not, retake Math at least.

math 2: 800 :]

teenage_cliche: I don't think there are others I'd do well on, I guess I'll have to settle for retaking Math II, but I want to take the SAT in October, that means I'd have to take Math II in November, would i get my score in time for college apps?

Thanks

chem: 800
there mustve been a really good curve... b/c i skipped like 5...

790 on bio-freshman

is 740 a good score for the bio m?

predicted:
math2c-780
physics-800
french -750

actual:
math2c-800
physics-800

so happy!, this was my first sat take (as a sophomore!)

Chem: 780
Math II: 750

I'm kind of embarrassed about Math II seeing how many people got 800s, so I'm re-taking.

Math II: 800

not that great since everyone got 800, but i was kind of worried so now yAy!

US History: 800
Math II: 780, I was expecting a lot lower

bananafish9 -Hi! You seem to have gotten the highest score on the thread on the Literature! Congratualtions! My daughter, who is a reading whiz, says the Lit exam was very arbitrary-you had to figure out the test writer's opinion. Do you agree? Also, what study material did you use? My daughter had PR and Kaplan, got a 780 on her College Board Practice test, but got only a 690 on the Lit Test. Interestingly enough, she got an 800 on the World History, which she decided to take because the Literature seemed to be no sweat, so let's be economical and take another test at the same time! (She did study incredibly hard for the History. She also put in serious prep time for the Lit, but besides memorizing the literary tems and getting used to the format, there didn"t seem to be much she could do.

So, if you could share your study strategy, we would be very grateful!

World: 800
Math 1: 740...ugh, I guess I'll take Math 2 next year.

If schools say they only want 2 subject tests but you took 3, will they only look at the top 2, or will your lowest score still hurt you?

us history-760
lit-750

i actually expected to score higher in lit, i loved the stories they gave us and I thought it was pretty easy, but I'm completely shocked about us history, I haven't taken that class in a year and a half and I crammed 3 days before the test. I expected something in the 600's, so I'm extremely happy.

US History-- 800
Bio E-- 800
Math 2-- 770

I'm happy! Objectively, the math score is not good. But I don't care!

I'm a bit tweaked. My brain must have been rubbish at the day of the test. Hmm, I did wake up at 5:00 AM to do some last minute studying.

Math II- 760
US History- 710
Biology M- 660

Lit- 760
Math II- 790 <----- ***?!?!?!?!?!? I thought I absolutely failed!!!!! I'm sooo happy. I was barely hoping for above 700. Now I don't feel like a failure in math because of my sat I M scores.

Due to questions being out, did anyone get a lower score than what they figured out from the questions? I did, and I'm REALLY angry...
