It depends on what types of colleges you are applying to^

I have yet to decide that really…not Ivies, obviously. My reach schools are probably more like upper UCs or Pepperdine, etc
I don’t really know. Having a high score also just feels good, you know?

Yeah, in that case, just look at the average scores for the colleges you want to go to. Try to score at or above those averages

^That’s why I need a 27+

Well here’s my predictions. I hope they’re accurate.

ABSOLUTE Worst Case Scenario:
English: 34
Math: 34
Reading: 30
Science: 28
Composite: 32 (this is worse than my previous ACT)

Middle/Slightly Optimistic Scenario:
English: 36
Math: 36
Reading: 33
Science: 34
Composite: 35

Best Scenario (very unlikely to happen…):
English: 36
Math: 36
Reading: 34
Science: 36
Composite: 36 (the chance of this happening is incredibly unlikely. I would need a -1 to yield a 36 in science which has only happened a few times before. And I would need an awesome reading curve as well)

According to the threads posted so far, I have -0 English, -1 Math, -3 Reading, and -1 Science. This is not counting any questions that may not have been discussed, so thats why the worst case scenario is there. I’m really just hoping for a 35, but I don’t want to sound so arrogant. I hope the best for everyone and the scores that they get.

according to this: [Ivy League ACT Scores - Compare ACT Scores for Ivy League Schools](Ivy League ACT Score Comparison for Admission)

the average composite at Princeton is 33. Doesn’t this make 33 a good score?

Averages include URMs, legacies, first-generationers, recruited athletes…

good, yes, but you’d still want to get above a 33 if you can( the higher the better)
But of course, 33 is a fantastic score

I’m sorry, but what is an URM? I’ve seen that a lot, but I don’t know what it is

Wow, cornell’s average for ACT is only a 31??! thats kinda low lol

URM= Under Represented Minority

URM = Underrepresented Minority = Black, Hispanic, etc.

Inuit, Atlantian, etc

Asian, Chinese, Korean, etc

^we get the point.

um no NOT ASIAN, CHINESE, KOREAN lol

@sic, i wish :)

Yay for being a Mexican!

wow. I was just about to ask if people on the west coast like LAXer25 got their scores yet since its 10 PM (i live on the east coast). wow im an idiot

hahaha! thats a good one sic

and asains are ORMs- over represented minorities just an FYI

Since my father is from Morocco (in north africa), can i say that i am african america especially if colleges have a choice for black and or african american?
