Passage on girl going on a trip:
what her father wanted/purpose of trip = Learning about her heritage
What Kate thought was the reason she was sent on the trip = to be with relatives
draw a parallel = React similarly to opposing viewpoints
“She loved her father like she would love a horse…” = elaborate on previous sentence
freedom=acceptance
likes Count because he was connected to modern day
Easier for her to enjoy/do things
She doesn’t like people who fancifully wish for things rather than see reality.

Independent films:
familiar and overly alarmed

For the indie films one I got, familiar… overly alarmist. Can anyone confirm before I put it up on the consolidated list?

@coollege
its because she felt uncomfortable living with her great aunt and thought that she feel as out of place if there were movie theatres etc. i think it was b or c for the letter

I put down something about exaggerated for the independent films. Is that wrong?

marjerina - I got that :)

The 10/09 curve can be found here for whoever was curious:

for the talent passage what was he one that was something like people usingnthe term was moving in a circular fashion or something along those lines? I think I put something with a blurred cause and effect or something like that

@ username w/ all the numbers
yea i got isolation and modern day

does anybody else remember archaic or something? i’m not sure if it was the answer… it was that austrian girl passage with technologically advanced as a choice (def not the answer)

@marjerina again lol yes that’s right. the second author said that the argument was perennial which can mean familiar i think

marjerina, I got familiar/alarmist as well

========================
dichtomy-hard to prove with experiments

I’m pretty sure this is wrong.

Why? Did you pick the one about contradicting statements? I was going back and forth with those two choices…not sure

The section of the passage that dealt with the Count was that Kate liked him because he asked her questions about London and their village, and also because he didn’t seem to be missing his old life (or something along those lines). You can infer that she liked him for qualities her other family didn’t have - able to deal with the reality of their situation.

Was him being nice to her an answer choice? I don’t even remember seeing it.

count = modern day. i don’t think freedom = acceptance, it was something else. like letting go of nostalgia

@1235729, Appalled was not in sentence completion, it was apart of the opposing values of great aunt-that english girl…

@pianoman
Yep :)

It was something like him being nice to her… I was stuck between that one and the modern one.

Wow i think i did really good in CR lol too bad a i screwed up Math again *** me *** my life and **** SAT math i think i got 3 wrong so its not the 750+ i was aiming for.

I put that.
