June 2010 Critical Reading

I put Acolyte solely because it made me think of the Acolyte birds from back in my FFXI days.

…I don’t think I did too well with the vocabulary.

…I don’t think I did too well with the vocabulary.

I got two easy ones wrong and the rest right. ~ . ~

Overall the vocab was bad though.

Can someone explain why “impression versus reality” is correct for the Argentinian author passage? I thought the question specifically referenced “carefully annotated edition” and “notebook” – I thought it had more to do with the uniqueness of the author’s situation. :frowning: Oh well…

I also put naive but it’s probably wrong. My logic was that passage two stated that those who criticize indys only looked at the poor films that were overly reliant on monetary funds. So I thought the passage was saying Passage 1 had a very narrow view, and was naive because of that restricted view.

@Fledgling

Because the author said “I felt as if I had a limited edition, but actually I was his notekeeper”. Remember this type of answer should be explicit in the text.

@fledgling: he mentioned something about “like many others before me” in parentheses.
wait, which passage was experimental though?

When can we know sat score online?

When can we know sat score online?

The 24th.

Does anyone remember the question for ignomity or any other possible answers. For some reason it is not ringing a bell

I agree with fledgling. He was not a notebook in reality.

The senator’s term was one of _______ because he’d been disgraced by a scandal…

something along those lines?
I know approbation was one of the incorrect choices.

The question was something about the corruption of a senator for ignominy.
fledgling - do you remember what the question was? I don’t remember…

isnt one of the answer halting …( cant remember the rest) explaining why the mentor kept on stopping and addressing him

Alright… I’ll just assume you all are right. I could’ve SWORN the question said: “The words “carefully annotated edition” (Line _) and “notebook” (Line _) serve to indicate…” though… bleh, what do I know? :/
