You’re fine…Calm down.

Yep. I know where you’re coming from, delmonico.

CC is definitely skewed. I enjoy reading other people’s perspectives, and there is a lot to learn here, through other people’s experiences. BUT, I also think a lot of people on CC have misinformed, unhealthy, and unrealistic perspectives.

Colleges are looking for human beings with potential. A whole variety of human beings with a whole variety of strengths and weaknesses. They don’t want cookie-cutter peeps who spend their lives taking tests to achieve that perfect 800.

If you buy into a lot of these threads, you can begin to believe that “average” is “below average” and “excellent” is “average,” and so on, and that one must be a “perfect” person on paper in order to get into a good college. There are just a lot of unhealhty attitudes here. And there are no perfect people and no perfect applicants.

But there is a lot of great wisdom and experience here, too. My kids and I have learned a lot!

730s on US and Math II. Good enough. May retake Math II but US is as good as it’s going to get.

Chem: 640 (aww yeah!)
Math II: 750

Not exactly what I was going for. My math score was a little higher than I expected based on how I felt after the test. I’m definitely retaking chem and maybe math.

710-lit
760-math II
770-US History

Possibly retaking Math II again because I’m thinking of Wharton, but regardless, beyond happy

760-Lit
750-World History

I don’t even know anymore…

780 Lit
680 Spanish
670 Chem

I’ll retake chem, but I feel like spanish could just have too much random stuff to throw at me to get a good score. Especially when i’ll be out of practice in october.

So, If i got 760 on SAT 1 math and have taken algebra (1 & 2) Geometry, and PreCalc/Trig would I have enough experience to take math 1 or 2? I would study, obviously, but I don’t want to have to teach myself a lot of brand new material.

Highreachnoob, are you kidding? Those are very good scores for VERY difficult tests. HelloUniversity, I’m pretty sure Math II is geared at the student who’s finished up to precalc. (can anyone tell me what kind of questions are on the Math II? Are they like SAT I questions or straightforward ones?)

800 Chemistry
800 Math II
750 Physics

I did not study at all except until a week before the test. For physics, i basically self-studied and didnt take any advanced classes in physics. I wish you were allowed to take four tests in one sitting; would have taken ush.

oh thank god!

800 Math II
800 Physics

congrats to everyone who took their sat2s for the last time && good luck to those who will be taking them in the future =)

@HelloUniversity – the good thing is that the math II test covers pretty much everything up to precalc/trig! i think you can definitely take math II if you did well in those classes. you’d be surprised how much of the satII for math II is just calculator work and friendly trig and algebra! if you can, try to find a barrons math II book and see how the problems are for you. if they’re completely awful then you might benefit from some time with the book and if they’re not TOO bad then you should be happy because the book will definitely (over)prepare you. =) there are 6 model tests in that book so you’ll have lots of time to gauge where you are. good luck!

800 on physics!!! I am so happy to be done with subject tests!

760- I was happy, because I thought it was easy, and I accomplished my goal of 750+

800 physics
710 lit…lol me being impulsive and trying to take a random test with no prep…

I have an 800 on math 2 from last yr do you guys think I need to take a history/english one also or am I DONE WITH SAT 2s?

Oh my heck a 790 on United States History. One question away from a perfect score!!! I’m so mad!!!

^also one question away from a 780. Look at the bright side of things :).

800 Phys
800 Chem
800 Math IIC

“Take this! Triple finish!”
:P

Bio-M: 800
Phys: 800
US History: 800

From last year,

Chem: 800
Math II:800

Life is good :)

Math II - 800
Chemistry - 780
Physics - 760

Math II: 800
Physics: 710

Is the 710 bad? :/

Chem 750
MathI 730
US History 720

Probably will retake US with MathII in November.
