June 2010 Writing

government have difficulty etc or difficult to etc

Thank God, the section I f’ed up was a dummy.

Anyways, I got two no errors for finding error section. #24 and #29. I don’t remember the questions; I just remeber because of 24 (hours) and the other being the last one.

i think i put E.

i had any type as the answer shudve been any other type^

Same.
10char

put A… think it should be any other type instead of any type

also im pretty sure #12 for either was D and not A

the one with A had a comma and made less sense.

what did everyone else put for it? it was the either question.

Only got two no errors on the long section for finding the error…
@let’s bee, only got those as well…

That, blabla criticized, etc artist… and

The dude who made the institution in philadelphia, communities, etc?

i got 26 and 29 no error

quesiton 26: it said blah blah blah…had she done this, she would have went "—"and become a teacher.
i said no error for this question

^^ should have gone

can someone please elaborate the one on artists?

should have went and become - “went” is incorrect, it’s not the same tense as become.

Did anyone get no error about the dude who made the institution in Philadelphia and something about communities?

@Envymeals

All I can remember is:

That their work was criticized by famous artist who blabla came as no surprise…etc

i dont know the grammar rule…
but i’ve never heard “would have became”, so based on just my sense of the english language I think the answer was no error

also, if you type in google " would have became" you get it reoptioned to “would have become”
however if you type “would have become” there is no option for 'what have became"

would have become is fine.

would have “went” is not correct, and does not match the tense later in the sentence. Should be would have “gone”.

For example: I would have run to the park vs I would have ran to the park (this is incorrect).

Can anyone tell me if their was an error about the dude who started some community, it was in the 20’s…

It is “would have become”.

the one with pencils it was as early as which shudve been during, i remember seeing a very similar question a prac test and it had the same answer.

NO. It’s would have “WENT”. PAST TENSE CANNOT BE USED HERE!

I would have ate my sandwhich? or I would have eaten my sandwhich??

you mean its would have “gone”
there goes my 800

well by quotations i mean it’s wrong. it should be would have “gone” although gone would’ve been a little repetitive of the beginning which when like “Had Maria not gone to…”

I just wanted to finally clarify… there were TWO no errors right?

One was about “That their works were criticized etc”

other one was "this dude formed a community in philadelphia (or is it illinois?) very few were there?

"anyone remember #12???

was it

something something something results from either something

choice D.

the one with a comma was A. , but it made less sense .
"

I was so confused about that one… I put A, then switched to “which either resulted”, but I think A is correct…
