October 2010 Writing SAT thread

Lets discuss the answers here(after the time difference is done away with of course)! Everyone game?

I'll start.Since many students have not yet taken the test,I'll just ask if any of you got WR experimental, and if so,did you notice that 2 of the questions had 2 same answer choices in each?

You already took the test?

Yes.10 char.

W was confusing! I was so upset after CR section 9 that I completely sat on section 10. Retaaaaaaaaaakes

Wr was really confusing=( 35*2+14=84 questions=(

I had the CR experimental. That was exhausting! 2 CRs (one after another), then a math (which I’m horrible at) and then the worst CR that could have ever possibly been devised.

there someone in as bad a condition as me…damn exactly too CRS then Math and then the worlds most murderous cR again

The last CR section ruined my 10 min WR section too. Predictions? Also, I’m really confused about the curve. A lot of people say that it’s already been made and others say that they wait until they correct everyone’s test this year and then make it.
Can someone clarify?

its made already as far as i noe

I found the 10 minute writing section fairly easy.No doubts at all, unlike the other two.

i think the result comes out on Oct 29? can any1 confirm that?

Omg. I got WR exp! I hated the WR section this time. There were like 3 questions that I thought were really confusing and ambiguous. Other than that, I got an easy essay prompt and I thought I did fairly well on CR, so I’m happy :P

Yes, 29th. 28th in America I think. Any predictions? I know i didn’t exceed 700 for CR and possibly WR.

the essay prompt was too easy. i used only one example. i didnt practice for essay previously, so writing 1.5 pages was unbelievably challenging.

No predictions for me.
The essay was surprisingly easy.
I filled in the two pages.Although I made up a few things.(what,i’ll tell later, once this time difference thing is over, and of course,if anyone’s still interested in knowing, which I doubt they’d be,but I’ll probably do it just to increase my post count  )

hi5 perfectpixie. lol. i made up a bunch of stuff as well in my essay. i talked about Obama’s father’s struggle …its really very funny :)

i only hope that the essay readers share my sense of humor. :p

tpainnopain-careful with that info!

@perfectpixie: I think I know which question you say had two same choices - I thought the same too initially, but after careful reading I found they were different.

I don’t think I can offer more information until after the embargo has been lifted though.

Is it bad that my words were kind of small and compact? Also, my pencil gave out a little bit at the end of my essay because I didn’t have time to sharpen it. As a result, my words were still legible, but lighter than the ones at the beginning of my essay. Would this mean that my words won’t be clear on the scanned version?
